A revolution!

For beginner/intermediate DJ's what's not to like:
Engine DJ OS is a great software system, continuously updating and add new features. Engine DJ OS really seem to listen to their customers and have regular updates improving their system. The software integrated with the hardware is revolutionary. There is no need for a direct connection to laptop with additional DJ software, but the option is there if you want to run a particular DJ software. Personally I like preparing my tracks on a laptop (Engine DJ OS) and then transferring them to the hardware. The units features are excellent, it all feels well built and responsive. There is definitely everything you want as a beginner/intermediate DJ. There is one or 2 small aspects of the unit that you may need to get your head around. Firstly the tempo faders are short, they work perfectly well, but they are very short. You do get use to them quickly though. Secondly, the sample pads, there are 8 (4 per side) instead of the regular 8 physical pads per side. Saying that the 4 pads function as 8 pads per side so it's not a massive concern.
The speakers are better than expected, loud, clear and perfect for practice.
The touchscreen is responsive.
Plenty of options to transfer music on to the unit with streaming, SD card slots and USB ports.
Overall an amazing unit for beginners and intermediate DJing.
